Swiss view: Top 10 Employers in Switzerland

In a survey conducted by the research institute GIM and the online portal Xing, in early 2018, the 10 top Employers in Switzerland were identified. Particularly the larger Swiss companies or institutions offering advanced working conditions, enjoy the status of a desired employer among the Swiss people surveyed.

 

The Top 10 Companies 2018 are:

  1. Swisscom
  2. Migros Retail
  3. Swiss Rail
  4. Roche
  5. UBS
  6. ABB
  7. Post
  8. Credit Suisse
  9. Swiss Airline
  10. Swiss Government

 

 

85 percent of respondents claim to be satisfied with their job. However even if the majority are very satisfied with their current job - 40 percent of the Swiss are open to a job change. This trend can be seen especially among the younger employees: 60 percent of 18 to 29-year-olds are ready to change jobs this year.

 

According to the study, the place of work is an important factor for job satisfaction: 4 out of 10 Swiss people want a job close to their place of residence. 51 percent are willing to take a commute of up to 50 kilometers. It seems that only 3 percent of the Swiss working population would like to work abroad.
