City official converts break room into a love nest

February 2018: A team leader of the Basel Department of Education was dismissed without notice after he set up a "love nest" in his office building for himself and a temporary worker. He also mobbed long-time employee to try have her dismissed so as to hire his temporary amour to a full time position.

After he requisitioned the break room, denying it to staff who had used it for coffee breaks, he equipped it with a sturdy door lock, a queen bed, a cushion group and a stereo. The two lovers spend nights there, too.

The mobbed employee documented her harassment and reported the incidents with media and photo’s as proof.
You may ask what relevance this story has to Shareholders? Similar scenario's have happened in a number of Swiss listed companies as well, and in the most egregious case, the manager was promoted (due to friends in the right places), rather than fired. We just want to point out that with the Swiss Shareholders Association’s plans for advanced oversight, the manager would seriously be looking for a new job!
